Tiger Iron  comes from Western Australia, especially the Pilbara/Hamersley region, where ancient banded iron formations were laid down on the seafloor billions of years ago.

Ribbons of deep red (jasper), metallic charcoal/black (hematite/magnetite), and golden  flashes (tiger’s eye).
